I Have A Little Dreidel

I have a little dreidel
I make it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play !

Oh dreidel , dreidel , dreidel
I make it out of clay
And when its dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play !

It has a lovely body
With leg so short and thin
And when my dreidel 's tired
It drops and then I win !

Oh dreidel , dreidel , dreidel
I made it out of clay
And when its dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play !

My dreidel 's always playful
It loves to dance and spin
A happy game of dreidel
Come play now , lets begin !

Oh dreidel , dreidel , dreidel
I made it out of clay
And when its dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play !

The Dreidel Game Rules

First: collect tokens (pennies or buttons for example) You can have as many players as you want. Each gets the same amount of tokens (15 tokens each is a good number). The center gets the same number of tokens too.

The dreidel is a spinning top with four marked flat sides that each player makes it spin in their turn.

  1. If it lands on Heh, you take half the center pile.
  2. If it lands on shin, you give away half your pile to the center.
  3. If it lands on gimel, you take all of the center pile.
  4. If you get nun, you do nothing.
You keep on playing until only one person is left and of course that person is the winner.
